Directions to Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge

The Refuge is open year round from sunrise to sunset. Access to the refuge is through the main entrance off Hudson Road in Sudbury and through the north entrance on White Pond Road in Stow.

To get to the main entrance from the east, from Sudbury Center head west on Hudson Road for 3 miles to 680 Hudson Road (Sudbury). Turn right (north) into the refuge entrance drive onto Winterberry Way.

To get to the main entrance from the west, from Hudson Center, head east on Main Street into Sudbury, passing the Massachusetts State Fire Academy. Turn left (north) into the refuge entrance drive onto Winterberry Way. .

To get to the main entrance from the north, take Rte 27 to Fairbank Road, follow Fairbank Road to Hudson Road, turn right onto Hudson Road and follow to the refuge entrance on the right onto Winterberry Way.

The north entrance to the refuge can be reached off of White Pond Road in Stow. White Pond Road is located on the south side of Great Road (Rtes 62/117) about 3/4 of a mile east of Lower Village.

Parking is available off Hudson Road in Sudbury, White Pond Road in Stow, and Old Marlborough Road in Maynard. Please be aware that vehicles operated by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service staff, volunteers and contractors, may be operating on refuge roads and trails.
