Starting Tuesday July 8, the US Fish and Wildlife Service will be performing critical repair work on two trails at Assabet River NWR. To ensure visitor safety, public access to sections of trail will be temporarily closed during this 2-week repair process.
From July 8 – 12, the section of Winterberry Way from the end of the paved road to the refuge entrance off of Old Marlboro Road will be closed to public access.
From July 13 – 18, all of the Otter Alley Trail, from Harry’s Way to Taylor Way, will be closed to public access.
This project will improve visitor access by repairing infrastructure to reduce trail flooding. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to improving these trails for all visitors!
