Join us for an introduction to fern identification! Ferns are a distinctive part of our natural environment, but it can be a challenge to identify individual species. We’ll discuss what characteristics to look for to help identify ferns, without technical jargon. We’ll then go for a walk and put our new knowledge into practice. Expect to see about 8-10 of our most common fern species.
This walk is geared towards adults; curious adolescents also welcome.
Driving directions can be found in this link: Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge
